POSITION SUMMARY:
MasTec Canada, is currently accepting resumes for positions listed below to support a project in Alberta. This is a twelve (12) month site based role on a rotational schedule with 15 days on, 6 days off.
Journeyman Electricians
Apprentice Electricians
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Journeyman Electricians with commercial or industrial experience
Preference will be given to applicants with industrial experience
Must be punctual and reliable
Preference will be given to applicants with fall arrest, AWP training, Ground Disturbance training
Proof of registration in Electrician Apprenticeship Program, indentureship may be an option for the right candidate
Proven record of preforming quality work while maintaining a high safety standard
Safely operating of zoom booms, skid steers are assets but are not required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and current clean drivers abstract is required
Strong communication (both verbal and written) and teamwork skills are required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required
Valid safety tickets are assets but are not required
Good hand-eye coordination is required
Ability to follow instructions and make good decisions is required
Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner
Must have experience in hand signals and radio communication
Must have an acute awareness of surroundings including under, above and around you
Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Canada’s 6 Core Values
