POSITION SUMMARY:

MasTec Canada is currently accepting resumes from Bonnyville and Cold Lake and surrounding areas, for the following positions:

Apprentice Instrumentation Technician
Journeyman Instrumentation Technician
This is a three (3) month site based role on a rotational schedule with 15 days on, 6 days off.

Preference will be given to those candidates living in and around Bonnyville and Cold Lake, AB.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Installation, calibration, troubleshooting and testing instrumentation equipment
Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures
Use pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation and diagnose faults
Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes.
Installation of pneumatic and process tubing as well as required support structure planning
Conduct Hydrotesting and QAQC of all installed equipment
Interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematics
Assist with electrical scope, as required
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Journeyman Instrumentation Technician Certification or Apprenticeship Certification required
Preference will be given to applicants Fall Protection / AWP Lift certification
WHIMIS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required
Ability to identify and report hazards
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules
