Brownβs Industrial is currently seeking Class 1 Drivers with minimum 5 years driving Super B gravel/ equipment hauling experience. Experience and interest in operating a loader, excavator and dozer would be an asset. Our ideal candidate is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of oil-field related materials and equipment. This position requires strict adherence to our safety protocols, effective communication, and maintaining operational efficiency in challenging conditions. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles such as flatbeds to transport oilfield equipment, or other materials to and from job sites.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of the load.
- Perform brake adjustments
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing the appropriate PPE.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all DOT, provincial and federal regulations, including hours-of-service rules.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure and minor repairs.
- Complete and submit required documentation, such as manifests, bills of lading and inspection reports.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel usage, and hours of service.
- Report any incidents, delays or mechanical issues promptly.
- Able to work in various conditions, including remote locations, inclement weather, and long hours.
Role Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 License with Air brake endorsement required
- Previous experience hauling gravel, shale, equipment and other materials is preferred.
- Knowledge of oilfield operations, safety protocols and equipment.
- Must have Super B experience as well as gravel and equipment hauling.
- Must be physically active and have the ability to lift 50lbs or more repetitively.
- Work is often in remote areas with extended periods away from home.
- Candidate must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License and provide a clean, updated Drivers Abstract.
- Candidate must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening test and Physical Demand Analysis.
- Safety Tickets: CSTS 2020 or CSTS 09, Ground Disturbance 101 is an asset (Other safety tickets may be required depending on location and job scope)
