Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Freight Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to and from various locations - namely from Edmonton to the Lakeland area. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle (tractor/trailer) to transport freight between locations.
- Load, unload, and secure freight according to company policies and safety standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and completing delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Any previous experience in freight or delivery driving preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with local routes and delivery areas is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
