Evening Housekeeping

Applications are being accepted for a permanent part time housekeeping position at Cold Lake Lodge. This position involves several areas of skill and includes duties in housekeeping, recreation, and the dining room.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


  • Housekeeping, laundry, kitchen, rec duties as required
  • Dynamic personality, strong supervisory abilities, public relations experience, exemplary communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate people, teach crafts and organize activities.
  • Responsible as hostess for all visitors and event guests (greeting and assisting)
  • Orient volunteers to assist with events
  • Welcome and orient new residents to the evening recreation program
  • Clean facility as per operational standards established by the Alberta Seniors and Community Supports Licensing Division and follow the Health and Safety Practices set out by the Management Body in the performance of duties
  • Provide Laundry Services to clients that demonstrates attention to detail
  • Adhere to guidelines for infection control and cleaning practices as outlined by Head Housekeeper/Cook and Management
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service
  • Adhere to all Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation Policies
  • Overseeing resident and visitor conduct, ensuring the policies of the Lodge are enforced
  • Must be thoroughly aware of all emergency procedures in the facility

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Security Check
  • Kind, positive, pleasant, vibrant, mature attitude
  • Experience in program delivery
  • Experience in leadership and motivational capacity
  • Exemplary communication skills.
  • Experience in housekeeping and laundry an asset
  • Problem Solving Abilities
  • Ability to work as a team player or independently
  • Ensures a positive attitude that promotes a healthy, constructive environment and staff moral
  • Ability to work with Seniors
  • WHMIS Certification (Will be provided)
  • Previous cleaning experience an asset
  • Physically fit to perform repetitive duties/lifting and bending

This position entails shifts which will be determined by the Lodge Manager


Current rotation (Subject to change): 7 days in 14-day period, 1 weekend on, 1 off – (4:30pm-11:00pm)


HOURS OF WORK: Minimum of 45.5 hours per pay period (Subject to change)


SALARY SCHEDULE AS PER CURRENT CUPE AGREEMENT:


START RATE: $17.72 Step 1 $19.31 Step 2 $20.90


Shift Differential of $2.00 per hour
