The Executive Director position is of a supervisory and directional nature, responsible directly to the Board of Directors. This is a management position and the successful candidate will assume full responsibility for developing staff policies, programs and long-term objectives. Prepare and maintain Accreditation Status, all Licensing requirements as well as annual budgets.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Business or Public Administration.
Computer software skills including Microsoft Office
Knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse treatment methodology.
Must have knowledge of Indigenous history and culture.
Must be able to display infinite tact and diplomacy with the public at large and with the employees of the institution.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of organization and administration, standards and regulations and laws applicable to institutional operations. Including Infection and Prevention Control.
Familiar with Accreditation Canada Standards and Alberta Mental Health and Addiction Licensing requirements.
Minimum of five years management and supervisory experience.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Adhere to Alberta Mental Health Service Providers Act
Valid driver’s license.
An acceptable length of sobriety is a necessity.
Must be able to provide a Criminal Records Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, Driver’s Abstract, First Aid and WHIMIS Certification. Will be required to sign Oath of Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest.
