The Finance/HR Support, under the direction of the CFO, will support the Finance Team with a focus on Human Resources and Payroll. This is a full-time position with work hours 8am- 430pm, Monday to Friday in Bonnyville office.


NOVA was incorporated in 2008 and has experienced significant growth since then with an average of 60-80 employees. We service many different industries and customers in the following areas: Plumbing and Heating; Mechanical (Commercial); Commercial Construction; Underground Utility Construction; Overhead Power and Live Line work; Excavation & Civil Construction


Job Duties


*Provide admin in hiring process
*Process and review Payroll as required
*Assist with reconcilingโ€ฏpayroll totals andโ€ฏensure all deductions and health benefit plan payments are made as scheduled.
*Coordinate corporate benefit plan; includes adding new employees to plan, deduction calculations and to provide assistance to employees
*Assist with preparation and timely filing of T4s and other year end payroll requirements.
*Provide Support to Safety Program and WCB case management
*Assist with Apprenticeship tracking
*Prepare reconciliations and journal entries as required
*WCB reporting, filing, annual return
*Additional Finance duties such as banking, fleet admin and business insurance admin.
*Perform AP and AR duties as assigned
*Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements
*Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
*Experience with payroll, accounting, and reporting required
*Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
*High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
*Bondable.
