Job Title: Freight Delivery Driver

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Freight Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle (truck/van) to transport freight between locations.
- Load, unload, and secure freight according to company policies and safety standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and completing delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record (air brakes (Q) endorsement is an asset, but not required).
- Any previous experience in freight or delivery driving preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects at times and load/unload freight is preferred - but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with local routes and delivery areas is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
