Seven Lakes Oilfield Services is currently recruiting for a Journeyperson (Building Maintenance) Carpenter to join our growing team.
This position is located at Imperial Oil Site, Cold Lake, AB. Shift is 4/3 rotation, 10 hours per day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing of the facility including:
- Building structure including walls, roof, concrete floors, and overhead doors
- Office including doors, lighting, installation of furniture, shelving, etc.
- Facility grounds including parking lot, landscaped areas, and fencing
- Coordinate contractor repair/maintenance work external resources including, but not limited to:
- Liaison with the building owners, Building operators, relative to their maintenance
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements
- Complete routine generated work order requests for repairs and services
- Respond to emergencies
- Attend toolbox talks and safety meetings as scheduled
- All workers have the obligation to refuse unsafe work and to report all unsafe and near miss conditions immediately
- Actively participate in the safety program and maintain strict adherence to OH&S guidelines
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Certified Journeyperson Carpenter (Red Seal if out of Province)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with satisfactory 3-year driver’s abstract
- Must be able to work from heights or confined spaces
- Highly developed organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and sensitive to issues of confidentiality and compliance
- Proven ability to react appropriately in emergency situations
- Ability to complete all work in compliance with Alberta legislation, regulations and site policies and procedures
- Proven ability to work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines
- Must be physically fit, position involves extensive walking, climbing and awkward positions as well as carrying of heavy materials. Ensure Personal Protect Equipment (PPE) is used as required
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Comprehensive Drug, Alcohol, Audiometric, and Physical pre-employment tests

- CSO or CSTS 2020
- Standard First Aid
- Fall Protection
- Gas Detection
- Elevated Work Platform
- Class 5 License with a satisfactory driver’s abstract (obtained within 30 days)
- Eligibility to work at site location
