Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic β Hauling & Rigging
Location: Bonnyville, Alberta
Reporting to: Branch Manager
Job Purpose:
The HD Mechanic will be responsible for effectively performing maintenance and service of property, equipment, and vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance of property, equipment (i.e., Trucks and Trailers), and vehicles throughout the facility;
- Inspect and evaluates operating conditions of equipment and vehicles;
- Perform maintenance activities and modifies existing equipment and systems to keep the facility in good running order;
- Read, understand, and follow hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagrams;
- Ensure that all maintenance is completed in accordance with established department policies and safety regulations;
- Attend training sessions to update technical knowledge as needed;
- Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extend of repair needed.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications and NCSG's policies.
- Follow all NCSG Safety rules and safe work practices.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Be a positive mentor.
Requirements:
- Licensed Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate;
- CVIP Tech License;
- Valid Driverβs License with clean commercial drivers abstract, Class 1 license an asset;
- Minimum of 2-3 yearsβ experience working with heavy duty trucks, picker trucks, light duty fleet and various oilfield related trailers.
- Experience in Cummins diesels engines an asset.
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment;
- Ability to work outside or on site, with the majority of work in the shop;
- Must have own tools for start of work term and remove them at end of work term at own expense.
- CSTS 2020, H2S, First Aid and CSO required.
