Stepping Stones Crisis Society is accepting applications for a full time, permanent, Outreach & Advocacy Coordinator, to provide leadership and oversight to the Community and Client Support programs.
The Outreach & Advocacy Coordinator will ensure that Community Support and advocacy programs remain responsive, inclusive, and aligned with the organizationβs mission to provide holistic client support. Additionally, the role leads a dedicated team focused on outreach efforts, community advocacy, and direct client support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the outreach, advocacy, and support services team and ensure programs effectively meet client needs and organizational standards
- Provide direct program development and oversight through collaboration with Management and other Coordinators
- Work with staff to develop and implement effective, client-centered advocacy strategies
- Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized case management plans in collaboration with support staff and SSCS clients, assessing client needs, strengths, and risk factors
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff
- Report on key outcomes and measurables while using data to drive improvements
- Represent the organization at community events and advocacy initiatives, promoting awareness and support for Stepping Stonesβ mission
Education
- Bachelorβs degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field; Preferred
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in Community Support Worker, advocacy, or related services
- Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of advocacy and trauma-informed practices
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Welfare Check
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving work environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint and other workplace technologies
