Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain an organized inventory of heavy-duty parts and equipment.
  • Order parts and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
  • Assist mechanics in identifying and locating the correct heavy-duty parts for repairs and maintenance.
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming parts, verifying accuracy and quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels, and track parts usage to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts department.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for returns, warranty claims, and special orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions, orders, and inventory levels.
  • Provide excellent service to technicians, customers, and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Parts Person in a heavy-duty mechanic shop or similar role is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle parts, components, and equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software or a willingness to learn.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
