Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain an organized inventory of heavy-duty parts and equipment.
- Order parts and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
- Assist mechanics in identifying and locating the correct heavy-duty parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming parts, verifying accuracy and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, and track parts usage to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts department.
- Coordinate with suppliers for returns, warranty claims, and special orders.
- Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions, orders, and inventory levels.
- Provide excellent service to technicians, customers, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Parts Person in a heavy-duty mechanic shop or similar role is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle parts, components, and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software or a willingness to learn.
- High school diploma or equivalent
