Job Description:
- Greet customers promptly and gather prescription information accurately
- Assist in prescription preparation and handle prescription pickup
- Responsible for general enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary
- Effectively communicate to customers both in person and over the phone
- Identify patients who are candidates for pharmacy services where appropriate and provide administrative support to the Pharmacist
- Contact physiciansβ offices as needed (e.g. for special authorization requests etc.) and maintain all relevant documentation
- Accurately file completed documentation as per Pharmacy Standards of Practice, in a timely and organized manner
- Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant credited course preferred
- Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Retail Experience an Asset
- Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty and ability to communicate
- Effective organizational skills, ability to multi task
- Strong attention to detail
