Job Description
CEDA is looking 1 Temporary Journeyman Pipefitters for our Bonnyville AB., location. Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville or Cold Lake area.
Will consider 1 3rd or 4th year apprentice
This position is open to direct service providers (DSP)

1 year contract term
Shift: 4 on and 3 off with 10 hour days

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
Test system for leaks using testing equipment
Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications:
Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred) required
3rd or 4th year apprentices will be considered with the right experience
H2S Alive and CSO or CSTS required. First Aid, Confined Space, Fall Arrest and Aerial Work Platform (AWP) considered an asset.
Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
