Seven Lakes Oilfield Services is currently accepting applications for a full-time certified QA/QC Journeyperson Industrial Insulator. This position is located at Cenovus Sunrise Site and the shift will consist of a 14 & 7 rotation; hours and schedules may change due to operational requirements. Travel is $500 per rotation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate jobs with Insulator General Foreman.
- Attend Toolbox meetings.
- Complete Work Orders.
- Inspect all Insulation related work performed by Seven Lakes for compliance and quality.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select type of insulation required.
- Attend meetings with managers and/or client contractors and update on status of jobs, schedules, plans, coordination.
- Update management on Insulation Job completions. • Oversee the measuring and cutting of insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
- Driving to and from locations.
- Inspect equipment used on jobs.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
- Coach crews on quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Complete job-related documentation.
- Attend meetings with managers and/or client contractors and update on status of jobs, schedules, plans, coordination.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- QA/QC – 3-5 years’ experience (Cold Pipe Insulation)
- Competent in reading ISO’s, GAs, & PIDs and Measuring Blankets
- Experience with BlueBeam software considered an asset
- Journeyperson – must provide hours of credit or certification
- Common Safety Orientation, H2S Alive
- Confined Space Entry and Monitor, Fall Protection, AWP and Standard First Aid an asset
- Minimum Class 5 License with an approved driver’s abstract (obtained within 30 days)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and approved to work at site location
- Comprehensive Drug, Alcohol, PFT, and Physical Abilities pre-employment test
- Highly developed organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and sensitive to issues of confidentiality and compliance
- Proven ability to react appropriately in emergency situations
- Ability to complete all work in compliance with Alberta legislation, regulations and site policies and procedures
- Proven ability to work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines
