Stepping Stones is accepting applications for a full time, permanent, Shelter Services Coordinator.
The Shelter Services Coordinator will support a collaborative work environment, providing guidance and oversight to Crisis Intervention (Frontline) Staff and Child Support Staff while maintaining a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Frontline and Child Support -Services, ensuring quality, safety, and best practices
- Coordinate and develop strategies to enhance service delivery
- Supervise, mentor and support staff through ongoing development
- Implement trauma-informed practices and ensure staff are equipped to support clients compassionately
- Coverage of Frontline shifts in the event of sick time, vacation, emergency
- Program evaluation and reporting
- Build relationships with community partners and represent Stepping Stones at community events
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in social work, Child Development, Human -Services, or a related field; Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in family services or child support
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices and child development
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Welfare Check
