Student Information Systems Coordinator

Required for St. Paul School Division

St. Paul School Division is seeking an individual to fill the role of SIS Coordinator commencing July 28, 2025.

St. Paul Education is located in St. Paul and serves approximately 3700 students at 18 school sites.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the SIS to ensure data accuracy and integrity across all schools in the Division.
  • Ensure compliance with all Alberta Education (PASI) requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with the IT department and SIS vendor.
  • Prepare and submit reports required by Alberta Education, ISC, and other agencies, including Provincial Approach to Student Information (PASI) and the ISC Nominal Roll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all student data such as enrolment, demographics, attendance, achievement, and special coding.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to school-based and central office staff on the use and functionality of the SIS. Develop user manuals, guidelines, and training resources.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to school-based and central office staff and school secretaries on the use and functionality of the SIS. Develop user manuals, guidelines, and training resources.
  • Serve as the primary contact for SIS inquiries and troubleshooting for school secretaries.

The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative individual with an advanced knowledge of database management, Microsoft Excel, PASI and Powerschool SIS. Occasional travel may be required.

In doing so, St. Paul Education became the only school division in Alberta to operate both separate and public schools under one board.
