Lakeland Catholic School Division is inviting applications for Summer Students – Maintenance (Grounds Keeping). Working with our Maintenance Team, this opportunity is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment while contributing to the upkeep of our school facilities.
Position Details
Hourly Rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
Duration: May 5 to late August 2025 (tentative end date)
Vacancies: two (2)
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment repairs, painting, and general facility upkeep.
Assist with landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, and planting.
Support the maintenance team with various projects as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean environment across all division properties.
Qualifications
Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is an asset.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Valid driver's license required.
Experience operating a ½-ton truck and handling a flat deck trailer is preferred.
Familiarity with outdoor lawn maintenance equipment is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
