Baker Tilly is currently looking for a full-time, permanent Cloud Bookkeeper to join our team in Bonnyville OR Cold Lake, Alberta.

The Cloud Bookkeeper uses secure, web-based software to post and prepare financial information and provide support to our clients to bolster their success.

 Key responsibilities include:

• Financial record-keeping in a cloud-based ecosystem for various clients including processing of payables, receivables and payroll and recording of general journal entries.
• Completion of bank and other account reconciliations.
• Preparation of GST and other tax returns.
• Preparation and generation of periodic client reporting packages.
• Communication with clients to ensure accurate, timely and complete reporting.
• Provision of bookkeeping and software support services to clients.
• Development of documentation of bookkeeping workflows.
• Onboarding and training our clients on Cloud accounting software and apps.

 Qualifications:

• No experience necessary but Bookkeeping Certificate is required.
• Minimum 2 years full cycle public accounting experience in a cloud ecosystem is an asset.
• Excellent working knowledge of cloud accounting software including QBO, Xero and various related apps, as well as an interest in technology and innovation
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and planning skills to meet tight deadlines
• Adaptability to changing priorities

Setting:

At Baker Tilly, we pride ourselves on our progressive and forward-thinking practices, employing a digital workflow that facilities working seamlessly across locations. The Cloud Bookkeeper will be required to work in an office environment with the option for some remote flexibility. Working overtime during busy seasons is a requirement of this position. The incumbent may be required to travel occasionally for training and meetings.
