PART-TIME COOK POSITION

Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation is accepting applications for a part-time Cook position at the Bonnylodge. The position is a guaranteed part-time position. Catering and Baking experience is preferred/ideal, overall cooking experience is accepted. Alternating weekends is required within this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Food handling, preparation, distribution, and storage
  • Cook duties breakfast/lunch/supper/snacks/baking
  • Ability to make and record menu substitutions
  • Cleaning/Serving/Dishes
  • Record Keeping
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to
  • Experience in food handling and preparation
  • Adhere to all Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation Policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven ability in food service industry; Catering and Baking experience is preferred/ideal, overall cooking experience is accepted
  • Knowledge and experience of multiple diets
  • Certificate in dietary, sanitation and food handling course preferred
  • Experience cooking in lodge setting preferred
  • Work flexible hours
  • Ability to prepare and present flavourble and attractive meals
  • Must have the ability to work within a Team atmosphere, as well as individually, and enjoy working with seniors
  • Positive and caring attitude
  • Decision making ability

SALARY SCHEDULE:
START RATE: Non-Certified Cook Start: $18.99 STEP 1: $20.57 STEP 2: $22.10
Certified Cook Start: $19.95 STEP 1: $21.49 STEP 2: $23.05

HOURS OF WORK:
8-hour shifts, shift hours are 10:00AM-6:30PM and 5:00AM-1:30PM
Three (3) shifts per week, 48-hours bi-weekly
