Purpose of the position


The candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):


  • Training in core areas of firefighting including First Aid & CPR, communications, general fire and rescue operations, and fire safety and prevention.
  • Attending, at minimum, 25 training events a year.

  • Come to us with related training and experience with demonstrated passion to continue to develop in the firefighting field.
  • Be between 15 and 18 years of age.
  • Be enrolled in high school within the Lac La Biche County.
  • Have good conflict resolution skills.
  • Be well-developed in public relations skills.

Position details


  • Salary starts at $16.37 and increases when candidate successfully becomes a Firefighter
  • Casual position
  • Hours: On call for days, evenings and weekends - no guaranteed hours per week
