Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting CEDO Technicians to join our team in the Cold Lake area. As a CEDO Tech at Acuren, you will contribute directly to the success of our clients' operations. Project Details:

  • Location: IOR Cold Lake
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Long-term maintenance placement
  • Preference: Locals to Bonnyville/Cold Lake preferred
  • Accommodations: Hotel accommodations and meal allowance options may be available for non-locals

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiographic exposure devices in compliance with CNSC (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) regulations and company procedures
  • Set up and calibrate radiographic equipment for inspections
  • Ensure radiation safety by following proper shielding, monitoring, and controlled area protocols
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation as per regulatory and client requirements
  • Follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE to minimize radiation exposure
  • Transport, store, and handle radioactive materials in compliance with safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding inspection results and job requirements
  • Work in various environments, including industrial sites, pipelines, and remote locations

Requirements

  • Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) certification from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC)
  • Knowledge of CNSC regulations, radiation safety protocols, and industry standards
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work in various environments, including industrial sites and remote locations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and inspection reports
  • Valid driver's license (may require a clean driving record)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing 
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
