Applications are being accepted for a permanent position. It is a full time Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 730am-4pm housekeeping one week and Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday, Friday the next week, with every other weekend 8-4 Supervision Position at Cold Lake Lodge. (72 hours every two weeks).
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Dynamic personality, strong supervisory abilities, public relations experience, exemplary communication skills.

- Reports and security rounds as required
- Resident checks as required
- Laundry, housekeeping, rec and dietary duties
- Provide courteous, professional customer service
- React as first responder to all emergency calls
- Respond to any resident/guest concerns or events which need your attention. This includes resident conflicts, limited personal care assistance to residents, greeting and directing guests or contractors, providing information and assistance to homecare, and hosting and dealing with any conflicts during social gatherings or activities, ensuring the policies of the Lodge are enforced
- Ability to motivate people, teach crafts and organize activities.
- Clean facility as per operational standards established by the Alberta Seniors and Community Supports Licensing Division and follow the Health and Safety Practices set out by the Management Body in the performance of duties
- Adhere to guidelines for infection control and cleaning practices as outlined by Head Housekeeper/Cook and Management
- Report potential danger to Manager and inform the Manager of resident behaviour concerns
- Clean facility as per operational standards established by the Alberta Seniors and Community Supports Licensing Division and follow the Health and Safety Practices set out by the Management Body in the performance of duties
- Report and resolve complaints, requests, safety conditions, security issues and illegal activities
- Adhere to all Lakeland Lodge and Housing Foundation Policies
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Security Check
- Kind, positive, pleasant, vibrant, mature attitude
- Experience in program delivery
- Experience in leadership and motivational capacity
- Proven Supervisory Experience with a history of managing other staff members.
- Exemplary communication skills.
- Problem Solving Abilities
- Ability to work as a team player or independently
- Ensures a positive attitude that promotes a healthy, constructive environment and staff moral
- Ability to work with Seniors
- WHMIS Certification (Will be provided)
- Previous cleaning experience an asset
- Physically fit to perform repetitive duties/lifting and bending
SALARY SCHEDULE AS PER CURRENT CUPE AGREEMENT:
SUPERVISORY
START RATE: $21.07 Step 1 $22.65 Step 2 $24.26
HOUSSEKEEPING
START RATE: $19.12 Step 1 $20.74 Step 2 $22.37
Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for weekend shift differential.
