Brown’s Industrial is seeking knowledgeable labourers to assist skilled tradesman and perform labour activities at our various construction and project sites. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices.
- Fuel equipment if needed.
- Assist tradesmen with their work.
- Assist Equipment operators to secure equipment attachments, signal the operators to guide them safely and provide aid in other areas as needed.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks and barricades as required.
- Return tools (clean) back to the proper area as the jobs are completed or at the end of the shift.
- You will be required to rake, shovel, move tarps, pump water and operate a plate packer.
- Ensure the appropriate use of PPE while performing tasks.
Role Requirements:
- Previous labour experiences an asset.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Must be physically active and have the ability to lift 50lbs or more repetitively.
- Must be able to follow directions
- Candidate must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License and provide updated Drivers Abstract.
- Candidate must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening test and Physical Demand Analysis.
- Safety Tickets: H2S Alive, CSTS 2020 or CSTS 09, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance 201 (Other safety tickets may be required depending on location and job scope)
