About the Opportunity

 

The Lead, Member Services will be accountable to ensure all deposit activities are in compliance with legislation, regulations, policy and procedures. You will be committed to coaching and identifying areas for individual and team development. You will be responsible for staff scheduling and performance management. As Lead, Member Services, you will provide leadership for exceptional member service delivery and support individual, team and organizational goals.

 

More specifically, some of your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 


  • Provide support, guidance, and technical training to team members to ensure performance improvement and a cohesive team. Champion a high-performance environment and inspire the team by providing timely and constructive feedback.

  • Motivate and coach your team to find opportunities and proactive solutions that meet the member’s needs.

  • Accountable for joint custody of combinations, treasury cash, disbursements, money orders, securities and other negotiable items.

  • Contribute to the quality of branch operations by maintaining compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements (i.e., Privacy, Money Laundering) while adhering to credit union cash custody and security procedures to mitigate risk of loss.

  • Understanding and meeting the needs of our members by providing them with advice on appropriate products and services, and/or identifying opportunities to refer members to appropriate team members.

More About You

 

In order to qualify for this role, you will need minimum 3 years of retail banking experience and 1 - 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the financial services sector. While not required, a degree or diploma in Finance (or related studies) would be an asset.

 

As our ideal candidate, you will have an in-depth understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements in financial services sector. You have proven leader, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Key skills include effective communication, leadership, problem-solving, and proficiency in customer service and banking software.
