We are actively seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduler to join the Cold Lake team. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Scheduler will be responsible for detailed scheduling, cost estimating and control functions to maximize mechanical availability while achieving budgeted targets in a safe, cost effective and timely manner. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of technical requirements and quality standards, along with a familiarity with an Enterprise Asset Management System. They will be an effective communicator with the ability to develop positive working relationships across multiple business units.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance to all health, safety and environment standards and participate in the effort to sustain safety and reliability Targets
Ensure compliance to all relevant Strathcona policies and standards including the Management of Change (MOC) process and maintenance business processes.
Prepare and maintain schedules for maintenance and project proposals.
Schedule and resource all maintenance activities, along with the operations and maintenance teams, to ensure the weekly maintenance schedule is executable and provide feedback to reliability to improve effectiveness of maintenance strategies
Investigate work requirements, prepare the sequence with associated tasks, taking multi-craft alignment into account
Maintain and improve job plans and associated Maximo data (Schedule, Bill of Materials, Assets Locations, Plans, etc.)
Requisition parts, materials, special tools, external services and rental equipment and all associated documentation
Generate bi-weekly backlog reports (follow up with Maintenance Superintendent, Sr Foreman, or Lead and update in Maximo as required).
Monitor costs and identify variances to the budgeted cost plan.
Sign off CON task steps
Review FCOMP statuses for log notes and make appropriate changes
Provide planning support for MOC implementation activities in close collaboration with engineering
Participate in regular meetings with Operations and Construction crews to review daily/weekly work schedules.
Attend daily maintenance meetings to vet and prioritize incoming service requests as per defined priority matrix
Coordinating and chairing constructive weekly scheduling meetings to discuss and confirm upcoming maintenance activities with all departments and trades, discuss outstanding backlog work, provide updated schedule and backlog reports
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a SAGD facility
Dynamic individual with 2 to 5 years minimum maintenance planning or scheduling experience
Experience with Prometheus Scheduler or equivalent is considered an asset
Trades certificate or Technical Diploma with 10 or more years of related experience
A working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (Maximo) and material management systems
Proficient with Microsoft office products such as Word & Excel
