Labourer/Pump Jack Technician:

For over a decade, MPI has established innovative methodologies for industry specific construction requirements to safely deliver seamless installation and project completion for our clients. MPI Oilfield is a field to facility thermal service provider and constructor— a “Single Thermal Source”.
Job Description:
MPI is looking for Labourer’s to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity for local candidates who are considering a career in the Oil and Gas Industry.

Skills You Bring:

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Capable of working safely at heights up 40 feet.
• Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, take direction and work in a safe manner.
• Physically fit and able to perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour:

o Light Work – Speed up, slow down (sheave change), seals, disconnects, rod clamps, respace pumps, horse head alignments, brake adjustment/repair and belt replacements. Visual inspections, detailed inspections and greasing.
o Medium Work – Bridle replacements, Horse head install/removal, stroke changes, electric motors, motor bases, base alignments and oil changes.
o Heavy Work – Replace sampson posts, walking beams, equalizers, saddle/tail bearings, T-base, wrist pins, gearbox, crank arms and weights all the way to complete pumpjack swaps.

• Veteran’s incentives contractors welcome.

Requirements:

• Own transportation to travel to the Shop (transport provided to/from site)
• Construction Safety Orientation (CSO)
• H2S Alive
• Fall Protection
• First Aid
• Drivers Abstract
• Clean Drug and Alcohol test
• Class 5 (No GDL) and Air Brakes considered and Asset.
