The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA), EMS Division, is seeking a full-time Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) or Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) for a 12-month Temporary position (with possibility of extension). This role serves the vibrant community of Bonnyville, Alberta, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact while working with a forward-thinking management team in a diverse and growing region.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ground ambulance services with professionalism.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicle readiness.
  • Participate in continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • ACP or PCP candidates. Preference is given to those with an ACP credential.
  • Registered practitioner with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACOP).
  • Valid Class 4 driver’s license (with acceptable abstract).
  • Valid BLS CPR Certificate.

Assets:

  • 1+ year ground ambulance experience.
  • F.A.R.E. test or equivalent.
  • ITLS & PEARS certifications.

Work Schedule: This position follows a compressed work week with a 28-day rotation, consisting of 12-hour shifts. The schedule is 5 on, 4 off, alternating with 4 on, 5 off, with both day shifts (8 AM - 8 PM) and night shifts (8 PM - 8 AM). This includes two guaranteed five-day weekends off per month.
