Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide estimates for materials required to complete jobs
Install, maintain, and remove insulation from equipment and piping systems in compliance with safety standards and regulations
Cut and shape insulation materials to fit specific equipment, ensuring proper coverage and sealing
Apply insulation materials such as fiberglass, mineral wool, and foam to equipment in high-temperature and high-pressure environments
Work with a variety of tools and equipment, including insulation saws, knives, and power tools
Ensure that all insulation work meets company quality standards and specifications
Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure the timely completion of projects
Adhere to all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
2+ Years of proven experience as an Industrial Insulator or in a similar role in an oilfield or industrial setting
Strong knowledge of insulation materials and application methods
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Familiarity with safety practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments (heat, confined spaces, heights)
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience working in the oil and gas industry
Knowledge of various types of insulation materials and their properties
Valid minimum class 5 driver’s license (GDL not accepted) and no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years on abstract
Able to provide a negative result from a CEDA booked Alcohol & Drug testing
