Housekeepers are responsible for routine cleaning and disinfecting of the facility inside as well as outside, including client rooms, and some laundry duties. Assisting with client intakes, restocking supplies, and interacting with clients on a casual level is also required. An ideal candidate would be outgoing, have strong communication skills, and be physically able to perform all duties and tasks. This position is from Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30 (7.5 hours a day with a half hour unpaid lunch).
Qualifications:
Must be able to provide a Criminal Records Check, Driver’s Abstract, WHIMIS Certification, First Aid Certification and Driver’s License. Will be required to sign an oath of Confidentiality.
Must be willing to work within the Policies, Rules and Regulations of the Bonnyville Indian-Metis Rehabilitation Centre.
Responsible to adhere to the Cleaning Guidelines of BIMRC.
Must be constantly aware of infection Control, sanitation and safety techniques for any procedure in this department.
Learn and follow all safe work procedures for your job position.
Undertake any other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Be familiar with emergency policy and procedures.
Report facility problems and concerns to the Executive Director.
Must have knowledge of Indigenous history and culture.
