We are actively seeking an experienced Team Lead – Maintenance Planner to join our team in our Lloydminster Thermal Operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance planners and schedulers that support 5 SAGD facilities and 1 rail loading facility in the Meota SK area.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Ensure compliance with, and commitment to Strathcona’s Health Safety and Environment program.
Be a champion to Strathcona’s policies, values and culture.
Lead, mentor, develop and support a team of maintenance planners and schedulers.
Ensure effective communication with operations, maintenance and other key stakeholders.
Ensure CMMS asset database is accurate and up to date.
Ensure consistency and accuracy of job plans created by planners and schedulers.
Identify and work collaboratively to overcome challenges and develop processes and system improvements.
Identify, assess and implement opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and reduce maintenance costs.
Ensure preventative maintenance plans are assigned to new equipment and all regulatory requirements and timelines are adhered to.
Support development of and steward to business unit and organizational KPI’s.
Be a change champion when implementing new initiatives and processes to achieve continuous improvements.
Be motivated and a self-starter, able to handle significant and varied workload as required.
Qualifications Include:
Completion of post-secondary qualification preferred, however not required (i.e. CIP, CGMP, MMP, AMP, Journeyperson in trades etc.)
Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
Education and Experience:
10+ years of previous operations/industrial maintenance planning/coordinating experience or equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, adapt, and be flexible to fast changing demands, timelines, and deliverables.
Team player who is willing to continually and proactively collaborate, share, and seek information in a team-oriented environment.
Strong knowledge with electronic maintenance management programs (i.e. Maximo, SAP, JD Edwards).
Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Outlook and Excel for communication and reporting
Strong organizational and communications skills, verbal written and electronic.
Ability to read and interpret applicable schematics, diagrams, Isometrics, P&IDs, etc.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, multi trade focused environment.
Normal work schedule is 5 days per week Mon-Fri.
Rotational “On call” as required.
Based out of the Strathcona Lloydminster Office with frequent field visits.
